Nijmeegs Boekenfeest 2.0 in 2020

Nijmeegs Boekenfeest is an annual literary celebration in the Nijmegen concert hall The Vereeniging during the Boekenweek (National Book Week) in March. A festive evening with emerging and established writers, mini-lectures and music performances. Take a look at the website of the Nijmeegs Boekenfeest for more information.

The last edition of Nijmeegs Boekenfeest took place on the 7th of March in 2020. With the theme of the Boekenweek being ‘rebels and cross-thinkers’ this year was the perfect opportunity to reinvent this literary flagship of the Nijmegen Book Week. Rather than spreading out all over the Vereeniging visitors were encouraged to experience a unique blend of the diverse programme on a stage in the middle of the Concert Hall. No need to choose any more!

Dutch Authors like Joris Luyendijk, Abdelkader Benali, Marjolijn van Heemstra, Asha Karami, Wout Waanders, Marjolein Visser, Qader Shafiq, Munganyende Hélène Christelle and Pascal Lamberigts were present. There was music by MINKA, records were played by DJ duo Lenkens VS Schmerig and there was a vintage DJ installation by Donkey Tonk. Radboud University and Radboud Reflects organized mini-lectures and Op Ruwe Planken presented the winners of their writing contest.
