A sexy ritual
In TRÆNS, Bosnian-Dutch artist Igor Vrebac invites you in a mischievous world in which you are immersed in and hurled between beats and movements.
In collaboration with two seductive performers and composer Tonny Nobel, he creates a hypnotic and sexy ritual to expose the feminine and masculine and to transcend the earthly. What begins as a tempting game between body and ritual ends in total surrender. Can sexuality be experienced as a religious phenomenon?
After his debut Macho Macho (winner of the Dioraphte’s Best of Amsterdam Fringe Award 2016), Vrebac continues his research into the stereotyping of gender by wondering to what extent we can transform our perception of sexual identity. TRÆNS is his first production as a maker at De Nieuwe Oost.
