Deze workshop is een ruimte voor onderzoek en studie voor dansers en circusartiesten, gebaseerd op de principes van copyleft en improvisatie in groepen. Het is aan elke deelnemer om zichzelf toe te staan om zoveel mogelijk aangepaste versies van stijlen, technieken, kennis en bevindingen te gebruiken en te verspreiden. Het gaat erom om creatie en kennis een gemeenschappelijk goed te maken. Deze workshop is een intens en meeslepend moment waarbij het lichaam centraal staat in het werk: het lichaam in relatie tot de ruimte, tot objecten voor anderen. Een stage in de circus- en dansgrenzen met als doel de dans / jongleer / acrobatiek te vinden die bij jou hoort, creëer een ruimte om individuele zorgen en relaties met de groep te ontwikkelen.
BIOGRAFIE NICANOR DE ELIA
Nicanor de Elia werd in 1976 in Argentinië geboren en is een danser, circusartiest, choreograaf en regisseur. Op 23-jarige leeftijd werd hij de mede-oprichter van Circo Volante, een multidisciplinair collectief. In 2003 trad hij toe tot Le Lido, de professionele circusschool van Toulouse, gespecialiseerd in jongleren en dansen. In 2006 richtten Nicanor en vier andere jongleurs G. Bistaki op, een hedendaags circus / dansgezelschap. In 2009 presenteerden ze «Coopératzia», een eerste show gebaseerd op de choreografische manipulatie van objecten. Het wordt tot op de dag van vandaag uitgevoerd op enkele van de grootste internationale festivals. In 2010 richtte hij Garage29 op, een ruimte voor podiumkunsten in Brussel. Met Garage29 maak je verschillende artistieke producties en het «Offestival». Eigenlijk is hij in twee producties, «ONE» voor de 4e jaars circusschool CODARTS in Rotterdam en «Bel Horizon» met het G.Bistaki Colectif. Voor 2020 zal Nicanor «Juventud» creëren, geïnspireerd door F.T. Marinetti’s manifest van het futurisme. In 2009 begon hij met het ontwikkelen van de “COPYLEFT” -techniek, waarbij groep en persoonlijke manier van bewegen werden gecombineerd. De laatste 15 jaar is Nicanor uitgenodigd als docent en artistiek directeur in verschillende scholen en artistieke centra in heel Europa (LIDO, LOMME, ESAC, ACAPA, CODARTS, GARAGE29, CIRCUSCENTRUM, DANCECENTRUMJETTE).

This workshop is a space for research and study for dancers and circus artists, based on the principles of copyleft and improvisation in groups. It will be for each participant to allow himself to use and distribute as many modified versions of styles, techniques, knowledge and findings. It will be about making creation and knowledge a common good. This workshop is an intense and immersive moment where the body is at the center of the work: the body in relation to space, to objects to others. An internship in the circus and dance boundaries whose goal is to find the dance / juggling / acrobatics that belong to you, create a space to develop individual concerns and relationship to the group.
BIOGRAPHY NICANOR DE ELIA
Born in 1976 in Argentina, Nicanor de Elia is a dancer, circus artist, choreographer and director. At the age of 23, he became the co-founder of Circo Volante, a multidisciplinary collective. In 2003, he joined Le Lido, Toulouse’s professional circus school, specializing in juggling and dance. In 2006, Nicanor and four other jugglers founded G. Bistaki, a contemporary circus/dance company, In 2009, they presented « Coopératzia », a first show based on the choreographic manipulation of objects. It is performed to this day in some of the biggest international festivals. In 2010 he founded Garage29, a performing arts lab space in Brussels. With Garage29 create several artistics productions and the « Offestival ». Actually he ‘s in two productions, « ONE » for the 4th year circus school CODARTS in Rotterdam and « Bel Horizon » with the G.Bistaki Colectif. For 2020, Nicanor will create « Juventud », inspired by F.T. Marinetti’s Manifesto of Futurism.
In 2009 he start to develop « COPYLEFT » technique, mixing group and personal way of moving. The last 15 years Nicanor is invited as a teacher and artistic director in differents schools and artistic centers all around Europe (LIDO, LOMME, ESAC, ACAPA, CODARTS, GARAGE29, CIRCUSCENTRUM, DANCECENTRUMJETTE).
